Hi guys,

This is driving me insane and looking for some help.

We have a nas and i want to create a shortcut via group policy preferences to put a shortcut pointing to \\ipaddress\photos which will open it up as a folder.

I have done what i think needs to be done and the shortcut just will not appear. Is this possible? I know i can map a drive but i would like to just have a shortcut on the desktop :)

Any ideas?

new GPO or are you adding it to an existing policy?

Just tested with the following and worked ok here :)

action - Update
Name - test
Target type - file system object
location - desktop
path - \\etc\etc
