I have a problem at the moment where a drive is not correctly mapping using group policy and 2008 R2 domain controller.
It's stange however as it is only not working for a handful of users.
If I test with my account on my machine it does not map.
If I test with my account on a test machine (thats in the same OU as my standard machine) it works.
If I test with a test account on my machine it works
I have tried gpupdate /force.
I have checked permissions and can correcly map to the location manually
In group policy I have -
\\networkshare\folder\%username%
I can manually map to;
\\networkshare\folder\bloggsj
I cannot map to
\\networkshare\folder\%username%
Anyone have any clues as to what could be happening? I thought it could be the network not initiating before the policy is applied so the policy is ignore but can't be as it works fine logging in with a different account to the same machine
