Grouping up random songs under 1 artist on iPod

So ive got about 150+ random songs that dont belong to any sort of album, but i dont want them to spam my artists page, how would i group these up into a "folder" type thing without renaming all the tags to the same artist.

I could rename the album to the same one, but then i will still have all the different artists appearing when i go to artists

Not sure if its 100% possible ..

yeh sure, but then when u come to play a song u dont know who the artist is ;o

ok ive changed all the albums to the same thing using mp3tag, and made all the songs as a compilation in itunes, so now none of them get listed under artists
