currently have a nvidia geoforce gt550t1 card which is causing some issues in my current setup.

looking at replacing it, but seeing as i do most gaming on the xbox now not really looking to upgrade.

Can anyone suggest a budget replacement.

Don't really need 3d capablilty.

seen a Radeon HD6670 for £54 Do not mention competitors please - w3bbo

thanks.

Welcome. :)

Yes, second hand will be your best option. I think a 6670 will be slower than what you already have - a GTX550ti?

For similar performance, I'd be looking for something like a GTX460-192 bit / GTX460SE / GTX560SE or GTX650. Team red equivalent would be along the lines of - 4870 / 5770 / 6770 / 7750 or R7 250. Make sure you get hold of a GDDR5 version when considering a card.

For the next step up in performance, then a second hand GTX460 256 bit or 6850 / 7770 (or above) will be the cards to look for.

intel core 2 quad cpu @ 2.66 hz
4gb ram
res set at 1440 x 900 6z 32 bit
Running win 7, 64 bit pro.

Phoned the guy who built this for me and he's suggested trying an earlier driver for the graphics card incase any issues here.

If he lived nearer I'd let him sort it out !

Going to try this one :

Sapphire 11201-17-20G AMD Radeon HD 7770 1GB GDDR5 GHZ Graphics Card (HDMI, DVI-I,PCI Express 3.0, 128-Bit, AMD CrossFireX Multi-GPU Technology)

Anywhere I can get advice on how to do the swap
