Grr! 7 wire rectifier sent from ebay seller - need 5 wire ASAP!

What can I do? Any idea where I can get an adaptor to go from 5 wire loom to a 7 wire rectifier?

I need to sort this asap as have a run on Sunday to the coast I so dont want to miss!

Any help mega appreciated!

Don't think its a problem m8, just make up the hardness yourself, cut off the connector and then just double up on live/earths with some spade connectors.

All the bikes I've had always have 3 stator wires and on a 5 wire unit the remaining 2 are live and earth, on 7 wire units you get 2x live and 2x earth.

So you just double up on the live and earths, easy

EDIT: Heres my retro fitted Suzuki R/R on my VFR (honda R/R are junk), I bought a 5 wire but the bike takes a 7 wire (other way round to you) but double up a few wires with some spades and jobs a good'en: http://sites.google.com/site/billhedworth/home/SNC00152.jpg

Try and use some cpu paste on the back of it if you can, help it last a bit longer.

Nice one mate! Thanks for the pic as when I realised how simple it was I grabbed the old connector box and went spade crazy, made up a quick harness so i dont have to chop the new rectifier or the loom plug and job done.
Tested the charge rate and was fine, rode to work this morning, perfick.
