Right...For some reason, I decided to spill some water on my keyboard..Because I'm amazing.

Although it did only spill into the Num pad area. which as far as I can tell works fine still.

However, my X key doesn't want to work...It will only work if I do lets say...'Shift' then X... <<< But if I just press er...X, I get nothing.

It the same if I press a couple of buttons around X as well. Confused?

cx, zx, sx...that if I type zx one after the other etc.

Any ideas? Or is my keyboard just a tad fubard.

You could always put caps lock on then press shift 'x' to get alower case x by itself...

Seriously though i would try and let it dry out some more if you spilt water on it quite recently, failing that get a replacement.

Yes, it is annoying =/ Weird though, cause the water didn't even go in that area so to speak...

I hate buying keyboards, all keyboards nowadays are soft touch ones, i just want my Standard Cherry Keyboard  Nice and noisey ;)

There are clicky keyboards about, I'm using a Raptor F1 and a 'Das Keyboard'; I fully recommend the latter for its conventional layout (if you can live without the labels).

Yeah I've taken off several keys, and soaked the water out where it was noticeable...Even pressed the x key manually with a stick, but that hasen't done anything...

If I have to buy another one then meh...annoying, as they're like £15 for some reason.

Indeed :)

They actually have the same model I have as well ;) Just don't want to be shelling out money again this month =/ Even if it is only £15...well, £20 with postage more than likely.

If you want to try and salvage it, get some Contact Cleaner from your local blue-shirt electrical store, pull it apart and spray the board (Paying attention to the key contacts).
