Is there any alternative way I can buy the Broken Steel DLC pack?

A) I don't like the idea of buying stuff through LIVE!
B) The LIVE! client crashes on my PC

:(

No legal way..

Meh... why on earth have Bethsoft chosen such a pants distribution method :( Should have used Steam tbh.

I'm not running XFire. To be honest, I really don't like the idea of paying for anything via something run by MS. I'm due a reinstall as I have the Win7 RC to set up properly but still....

"No legal way" settles it, I guess :( Thanks for the reply though :)

I'm not a huge fan of having to use MS points for things either to be honest, I haven't owned an 360 for years, so it seems fairly pointless when their catalog is pretty dire.

Torrentz f t w lolz

Sadly in this case that's probably true... shame as I love the game. I just can't believe how short-sighted Bethsoft have been with their delivery platform.

If a DVD comes out with all 3 I'll buy that and play it through again :)

Didnt have any problems with Live, seems fine. But i'd rather have the DLC available via steam though.

I agree, GFWL is shocking as is the fact you have to buy 1000 points not 800! Why they couldn't do it conventionally via steam or what have you I have no idea

Of the 3 DLC's only the pitt worked for me with no problems, broken steel is now working after an excesive amount of effort. Op Anchourage still wont work for me.

What really bugs me is that I have to re log in to live each time Fallout crashes (frequently with DLC's) and that all the live pages treat you as an XBOX user (no I dont want the xbox newsletter). Surely if your logging into windows live it should assume your a PC user.

There are some tools that allow you to remove the need to log into live once you've installed them from live but you'll still have to use it at some time to get the content legally.

Do the MS points for live last an infinite length of time or do they expire after, say, six months?

No - any points bought from retail or directly from MS, don't expire.

However promotional points given away, eg. 500 ms points if you pre-order game X - do have expiry dates.

You not got it set to auto login ?

I ended up going down the not so legal route, when the client prompted me to get a Gold subscription before even mentioning the points, i gave up. So many better ways they could have distributed them, but nah...
