I haven't used any kind of antivirus for a couple of years now, mainly due to endless problems with Norton. A couple of days ago I downloaded Avast Home, just to run a scan for safety's sake.
Its only since I downloaded this that I remember why I don't like antivirus, it literally takes about half an hour for my laptop to start up properly, and when its finally ready to be used its painfully slow and regularly crashes.
Is this just something you *have* to put up with when using antivirus, or are there better downloads that would work better?
