all ok with this pc through out december, but come jan 3rd, my pc reboots with BSODs

go back into windows and same happens again after a few mins, it gets to the point that the desktop doesnt load fully before it bsods again

some of the errors here , here , here ,
here , here , here ,

i put an older image on the pc and it does the same again.

was convinced it was a driver/software issue as it ran without a hitch in safe mode. i even ran newsleecher for a few hours, quickpar

just did a memtest now and heres the memtest result! (sorry about the size, running from safe mode so cant get to an editor)

i only got this ram in august :( (its 2gig g.skill 6400 HZ ddr2 ram from OCUK)

is this enough for an RMA? i've had probs with ocuk before and replacing faulty ram :(

thankfully i have spare memory which i am going to put in tomorrow

ta mate

both the ram and mobo came from ocuk (and the cpu actually), so something is being sent back :o

hopefully its the RAM, at least thats nice and easy to swap out.

finally got around to doing this today and no more BSODs!

forgot what that was like.

will have to send the other RAM back to OCUK then

got this back from RMA today and was told it's working fine.

the errors in the images shown above are normal apparently

learnt my lesson - never buy from OCUK again

Not defending ocuk, but it might be your board not getting on well with the RAM and throwing errors like that, i can replicate those errors with some combos or delibrately overclocking or voltage starving the RAM to a point where it'll error. Have you played about with the timings and voltages? Also a BIOS update or something might be needed. G.skill also has some compatibility problems in my experience, moreso than other manufacturers.

that wouldnt explain the same fault happening with my asus p5b deluxe mobo. also tried volts from 1.8 - 2.1. no diff. diff ram slots - no diff

oddly - the g.skill NR ram i have works fine on both mobos
