Grrr, Unreliable WiFi

My shuttle system has no spare PCI slots so I am forced to use a USB WiFi adaptor. I bought one made by addon, and it seems to work, but not very well.

It disconnects and reconnects randomly, and my ping times are all over the place when playing CS:S. It's fine one minute, (pings < 50) then the next minute, it's well over 100. Sometimes if I reboot it makes the ping times go good again but this doesn't always work.

So, how can I fix this? I guess it could be my ISP, but I have a feeling it's the Wifi. any tests or utilities I could use to fix this? So far I've tried netlimiter, and I'm getting a good signal.

why don't yo buy a wireless device that shuttle released thats built onto the shuttle. (depends what model you have).

I'm using an sn45. I did buy the shuttle thing (PN19 i think it is), but it now no longer works. It was very neat when it did work tho. Also, I can't find anyone that sells them anymore, so I'm going the way of USB. I haven't had the best of luck when it comes to wifi.

I use a Netgear WG111T USB adaptor and it works a treat, are you configuring it via windows or via a third party app?
