So I am at the part where I kill Robert.
The crusaders who I fight before him are driving me to the point that I want the throw the controller across the room.
I've tried using the short blade and the sword and I just can't kill them all before they kill me.
I find that as I am attacking one of them another two attack me at the same point.
I must've tried this well over 30 times and it's now infuriating me.
Until now I have really enjoyed the game, especially the stealth attacks.
Am I alone with this or has anyone got frustrated with the game?
I'm not into fighting games so perhaps this is why I am not enjoying this part of the game.

can't say I ever had a problem hashcake :(

How are you fighting them? Are you countering? Just swinging at them won't get you through it, try to counter them when they attack you and see if that helps.

try not to let them get behind you either.

You just wait for them to attack then counter. It's so mind numbingly easy and simple you should be able to watch TV while doing it and eat a pizza.

Wait for the attack, counter. Wait counter, wait counter, wait counter, wait counter. It's just a case of getting them all before your heart flatlines through boredom ;)

Oh for christsake!
I was getting so frustrated that I had forgotten to counter attack.
Thanks guys, especially to dannyjo22 who made me realise it wasn't hard at all.

No problem mate, I used my toes to make it a challenge. That way I could drink beer and eat pizza at the same time ;)

Counter is all you need for this game. Pumping attack gets you nowhere sadly. Hopefully the 2nd installment will be much less limiting.

:)

yeh i had the same problem, really annoyed me, counter attack is the best option
good luck hang in there
there light at the end of that dark tunnel!!!!!!!!!!!!
only messin about

You can just go at them at make it work. As long as you use that attack (I forget it's name) where you hit attack as the clash of the sword sounds. Cue a gory death :D

I used to make it up my self really, used to take a few on, escape onto a roof top, throw a few off, escape more, see how many I can get after me :D

Double attack I think its called. Even though counters work, I like to mix it up, make the fight look as cinematic as possible, few dodges, change weapons occasionally, and throwing someone off a high building never gets old.

Unfortunately with this game, once you master counters, which isn't difficult, the game is far too easy

I had major probs with this bit as well but i finished it by running around in circles ie around them when my health was low...once it was full id go in for the attack...seemed pretty easy although the templar knights were PITA to kill. Quite funny how i did it:p...running around in circles while they were chasing me but to no avail:p

It was only the templar knights that I was having a problem with.
Generally I found that running around attacking the guards in the cities worked fine.
When it came to helping civilians I found that luring the guards onto rooftops then slashing them was good fun.
However, it seems like the AI was slightly better with regard to those pesky templar’s as my previously strategy failed big-time.
Once I started using counter attacks I couldn't believe how easy the game became.
Too be honest I didn't bother with most of the fight training so I only have myself to blame.
Although I think if I had been using counter attacks earlier in the game it would have become all too easy and I would have probably got bored very easily.
Now the games over and although as a lot of people have said, it is rather repetitive but I've enjoyed it overall.
Did anyone else notice a few bugs in the game?
Here's looking forward to AC2.
Time now for Army of Two :)

HAHA thats what I did, they used to counter my counters and throws, so as soon as my health bar started flashing, it turned into a benny hill episode running around in circles with multiple guards following behind

i think the problem for me was that the last part of the game focused way too much on combat but the combat system was just far too simple. As people have said, countering made the game stupidly easy... the best parts of the game for me was the platforming, exploring and assassinations :)

i still enjoyed the game overall though and cant wait fr a sequel :D
