All over the world...
Right so im on my way home from work and usual have my iphone4 playing my mp3s...everything seemed to be fine although it was skipping every so often on my mp3s so thought ill reboot the device which usually sorts it out.

So went to push the middle button and the screen wouldnt come on....pressed it a few more times and still no go...the music is still playing through my ear phones...i unplug the ear phones and plug them back in and nothing, music has stopped.

So i hold down the top button for a few mins and again absolutely nothing...the screen doesnt come on or anything. I charged it fully last night and it was fine...i had it on my airplane mode and it worked fine.

Just got home and put it on my desktop charger pod....nothing....ive plugged it into my laptop...it loads up itunes but again my iphone4 doesnt show up in there...so **** knows what has happened....the battery wasnt hot or anything....i had it jailbroken so i dont know if that caused something to go wrong.

So can anyone tell me how to get it back working...im loathed to go to an apple store to get it looked at or fixed...is there anything i can do to bring it back to life or is a visit to the apple store inevitable??....

Have you tried holding both buttons down, until you see the apple logo? (ignore the slide to power off, keep it held down)

It does a 'proper' reboot for want of a better phrase.

LOL i now have the apple logo on my screen....just waiting to see if it loads up...fingers crossed it will work as i didnt back up my iphone4.

Ok no problems by the looks of it...the iphoen4 is back from the dead lol....grrrr had me worried there for a bit....

Thanks:)

I can't remember if you got a launch day iPhone 4...

The timing would have been absolutely perfect, if you had :p

I had this a while back although not with music playing. My mate who works in the apple store said they'd had a few customers with the same issue, something to do with the amount of multi tasking apps in memory. Unsure whether his has now been patched or not though, only happened to me once.
