Hi people.

Like an idiot while cleaning our room i accidently knocked our nintendo wii of its stand and of course it did a dramatic hollywood style stunt drop down onto the unit below and its cracked the top of the gamecube controller door slightly and the sd card slot door at the front slightly.

Cursing myself and everything within 20 meters as you would do, i know find that although the wii switches on fine by the power button the wii remotes now will not "sync" with the console at all and ive tried the red button on the wii remotes with the sync button thats next to the sd slot on the front of the wii.

The blue power button on either remote flashes quickly but wont operate with the wii.

Basically im also typically thinking now as this is "accidental" damage, that my warrantee maybe void aswell(would not surprise me).

If this is the case is there anywhere or do nintendo do a repair service where you can pay for a damaged console to be repaired or is it a case of "tough u know what"?.

Thanks.

Yeah thanks for the advice guys.

I think ill contact nintendo during the week and probably pay for repairs if need be if they will do that.

Got a reciept?? Say you got it early (because of the shortage) and your son has just opened it for his birthday and its broken. Replacement please.

Hmm got it from argos just after it came out and was lucky cause at the time it was the only one in the store.

I think ive got the receipt somewhere but will probably end up ringing nintendo to get it repaired hopefully fingers crossed.
