when I start up my computer I get this error :

and in battlefield2 whenever I get into game (it loads the map and then my computer freezes)
 
That's a graphics card driver issue (Nv=nVIDIA), try reinstalling them.

Your sig is one line too tall btw :p
 
Try reinstalling the nVidia drivers. NVCPL.dll = Nvidia control panel.

Or to just get rid of the error, stop the control panel from loading:

Start > Run > Msconfig > [Startup Tab]

uncheck:

NvCplDaemon = RUNDLL32.EXE c:\windows\SYSTEM\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup
