My son bought one of these a week ago

it was delivered he powered it up it started doing a windows update it then powered up with a black screen no Bois screen or anything .


so we returned it via a RMA that was on satuday now he has been told it will be 3 days before someone will look at it ?? how is this right ..

is there anything that can be done as it has a fault but looks like he is going to be waiting another week to use it

Did he purchase it brand new from OcUK or another online retailer? (If it was from an online retailer, don't mention the name on here as naming competitors are against forum rules).

If it was from another online retailer, RMA's can take up to 14 days to turn around sadly (usually it's carried out within 5 working days from my past experience with a few retailers). Laptops in particular have to be inspected / tested etc.

Or if you mean it was RMA'd directly to MSI - this can take longer.

You can return it through us no problem. Turn around time is around 8-10 days. We will collect as you get a UPS label and SMS update throughout the process. Let me know if you need any assistance and I will point you in the right direction.

Ultimately if OcUK cannot identify the fault it would end up coming back to us anyway.
