I am currently using the GSKill KM780/MX780 Keyboard and Mouse combo.
I also use a 4 way DVI KVM
Sometimes, and its purely random, but incredibly annoying, but sometimes when I go between the PCs, either the mouse suddenly stops responding, or the Keyboard lights stop working ( Keyboard usually works fine )
Now, lets say I go from PC1 (Win10) to PC2 (Linux) its absolutely fine but when I go back, sometimes the keyboard lights have been disabled and so I go back into the Software and click on DISABLED to ENABLE them again, and they are fine... Annoyingly, I have to then save the settings or they go back off? - Saving the already saved settings back to the same as they are anyway?
Sometime the mouse stops working too - Not at the same time, but if I go between one PC and another, if the mouse stops working, its fine on the other, but it stops working on one. If I keep going back and forth it still keeps working on the others and not on that one.
Sometimes, unplugging the USB from the back helps, sometimes not.
I have a space mouse that I simply connect up whenever that happens, on the offending PC, but its a very annoying thing.
The 4 PCs have Windows 10, Linux, HackinTosh ( Mojave ) and Windows 2016 Server and what I have also tried, is that I have gone back to my Logitech setup ( G19 + G502 ) and they ran absolutely flawlessly for over a week, but the GSKill fails at least once a day, so that says the KVM is probably ok.
Its the GSKill maybe?
The only thing I can therefore put it down to, is that the software sees me unplug or plug in, the keyboard or mouse ( but only sometimes ) and then piddles its pants over them?
Any thoughts on this?
