i just got a rma number from taiwan to send back my dead stick of ram,
but they say in eamail they want both dual chanell sticks rmaing.
but if i send both i wont have my pc working,so im just going to send the dead stick, will that be ok.

Depends what they send back.

They usually ask for both so that they can send you back matched pairs - which is the ideal. Plus, if one stick has died there's a slim chance the other may eventualy die too - same batch, same rig same conditions...

Also, they may not have the same memory in stock so they reserve the right to send you out something of similar quality or better. Which is great but if you only send one stick the returned stick may not match your remaining stick's voltage/frequency/timings... So, you may run into difficulties getting them to run together (differing voltages being the main issue).

I would email them and get further conformation.

Honestly, I wouldn't risk sending one stick and having them email me saying to send the other stick before they'll send out a replacement, just send both back. The weathers been nice lately, go outside :p.
