After some searching it turns out my Gskill PC4000 is dying rapidly. after 19min of memtest 1.65 I have 80,000 + errors.
Timings are 3-4-4-8 @2.65v 250Mhz but have tried a range of settings from 2.5-2.8v , 200Mhz, 250Mhz, timings 3-5-5-10.
Even swapped them to the other 2 Dimm sockets.
In each case after a cold start I get a couple of hours before the errors kick in and then it's thousands every few minutes, even a restart doesn't cure it. only standing for an hour or two switched off.
Case temp is 23C internal (Antec P180) and the dimms are only slightly warm to the touch.
Anyhow, the above was in anticipation of any questions I get about settings !
The main reason for the post is to see if anyone has any RMA experience of Gskill and any hint and tips for a prompt turn around.
I'm considering buying some more ram then selling of the replacment Gskill when it arrives.
Any info guys and gals ?
