G.Skill

Hi Guys,

Is the G.Skill memory any good? Was going to buy some OCZ Plat 3200, but has just gone out of stock this morning... So am looking at the G.Skill 2GB DDR ZX PC3200 stuff now.

Excellent RAM, good timings, clocks well :)

Cool! Any preference to this and the OCZ Plat 3200?

I'd personally take the GSkill, but more based on how I like the company and what they're doing with performance RAM. The modules are on a par with each other I believe.

If you can get the G.Skill 2GB DDR HZ PC4000 (2x1GB) CAS3 Dual Channel Kit for the same price as the ZX [G.Skill 2GB DDR ZX PC3200 (2x1GB) CAS2 Dual Channel Kit]

Which would you choose ?

The one with lower speed but tighter timings (PC3200 - ZX) or the PC4000-HZ stuff at CAS 3 ?

I've got the G/Skill, very good stuff clocks nicely too.
Off of memory when overclocking I got 2.5-4-4-7 @ 240fsb....

The OCZ pc3200 is identical chips so should perform the same. PLus the ocz has nicer looking heatspreaders and feels a much better weight.

Good stuff the G.Skill (like most people have said :) ) I've had the 1Gb PC4400LE and now the 2Gb HZ kits. Happy experiences with both of them! :D

Hi there

Yes G.Skill memory easily becoming one of the best because they are not only one of the quickest but are also the cheapest most of the time. :)

When it comes to DDR2 G.Skill just seem to be leading the way. :)
