So today I've had the opportunity to try Gsync for the first time as I have a Acer Predator monitor here for a friends new build.

It is as good as people say it is.

That is all.

It's quite the thing.

I'm playing GTA V and being able to drop from 95 to 80fps and not notice a thing is great. I bet it can go lower as well, I've only just played a couple minutes of it.

The difference going from no G-SYNC to G-SYNC is nothing like the difference going from G-SYNC to no G-SYNC after a few weeks or more of gaming with it :( (don't get too used to it :P)

Why would you even notice that drop anyway?.........(never gamed over 60hz)

if your vsync'ed it would cause a nasty stutter in most cases. If your not well then you have tearing although the higher the fps the less noticeable the tearing gets. Playing BF4 at 250+ fps on my 75hz screen(low settings) without vsync doesnt bother me one bit however playing at around 50-60 without vsync is a nightmare due to tearing and vsynced if i drop below the set refresh rate by more than 4 fps i get a nasty stutter so variable refresh certainly has its perks.

Stop tease :s

I am not ready to cave in to one just yet... Next year could be exciting because everyone seems to have platforms from Sandy to Skylake and when you drop in a Optane SSD, G-Sync and Vulkan/DX 12 suddenly you find your rig invigorated and lasting ages. Especially with Pascal coming too.

That is what i plan to do anyways and sit tight until 2019 enjoying G-Sync.

Find Gsync more annoying than beneficial.
Any game with a mousepointer in it, the mousepointer gets crazy inputlag and feels wrong.

Anyway cant tell a difference playing GTA 5 with dips to 60 from 100 with or without Gsync. Only that the image gets blurrier when moving the mouse around.

And so the pc build is done and it and the monitor have been collected so back to normal 144Hz I go:(

Highly recommended and was a pleasure to experience during these past couple of days playing games.

whilst gsync seems nice, it is shady from nvidia to use propriety tech which happens to double the price of a monitor when freesync tech is available. So personally i have found the cost too hard to justify especially as gsync monitors have very limited inputs as well.
