Can I have a dual monitor setup where I play a game on a gysnc monitor with gsync functioning and have a second monitor that is not gysnc for web browsing and such? I'm updating from a fairly old rig and I'm still learning all this new magickery.
You certainly can. I sometimes connect a 60hz normal 1080p monitor via hdmi to monitor afterburner stats on it and whether i use 4k 60hz or 1440p 165hz as the primary gaming screen via displayport with g-sync i've never had any issues at all in my experience.
Yes, absolutely, that's what I do.
You ideally want your monitors to be the same resolution/ratio though (particularly if you want to duplicate the image like I do).
NVIDIA control panel lets you adjust each monitor separately.
Thanks chaps, I've now got a gysnc 1440p 144hz so will be pairing it with my old Dell 1200p 60hz - looking forward to playing some ED whilst having some tools and such up on the old Dell
