Very good post. Having used G-Sync first time myself yesterday, I completely agree with what you said.I've gamed with several generations of top end GPU config (7970 XFire --> 980Ti SLI --> 1080Ti) and only recently have I had the chance to buy a PG348Q (been gaming on a U2414H --> U2715H --> U3415W before then) to have a taste of Gsync.
What I should put is, Gsync is definitely noticeable, but whether it is worth it, that is highly subjective.
Personally, if you are comfortable with trading in your hardwares should you have to switch team then it's more likely to be worth it for you in the long term.
Or if you're a die hard green fan and will remain with NV no matter what the next gen GPU will bring, then Gsync will more likely to be worth it.
If neither of the above is true for yourself, then I'd say you should go to a store and see for yourself before committing to buy, because I can live without Gsync but I couldn't answer on anyone else's behalf.

You liking the AOC? Smoooooooth?
Gsync is great imo, but only because nVidia controlled it all from the get-go and made sure the low fps were catered properly for. This is something AMD is fixing in the new Freesync 2 monitors I think
I've always had good experiences with Gsync (for the most part, had an issue with 1080 SLi and crashing with one game. But looking back it was probably an overlay issue). For me, a single powerful card + Gsync over SLi anyday!!![]()
Yeah, maybe. Don't know really as I don't pay much help attention to that stuff. As long a game does not stutter and not slow I am usually happyNice one @TNA . Tell me, are you finding 60fps w/Gsync smoother than a 'normal' monitor? I did, felt more like 70-75 to me but I'm just wondering if my mind was just making **** up![]()
Yeah, at least. And when I get one, it needs to be OLED. Had enough of IPS and it's problems and TN is just lol, yes even the best onesYup, it's gonna be 2 years I think before 144Hz 4k becomes affordable
