GT 1030 problem

Recently my PC would randomly say no signal from monitor, but all i needed to do was take the dvi d cable out and plug it back in, this only happened like once a day for the past week. Now today i try to turn it on and its stuck on no signal from monitor:
I have:
- Plugged in new monitor not worked
-Opened case and there was quite a bit of dust in the fan area inside GPU so i cleaned it put it back in and still not working.

Then i took the GPU out and tried the VGA from the dedicated intel and it WORKED but no gpu.....

So basically im not sure why my GPU is not giving signal to the monitor could it be the dvi d port or the GPU itself? what should i do next?

i have an hp elite sff 8300 with gt 1030.

hmmm. dont have another dvi but ill try the hdmi to check if that solves it.
