edit - oops title should have said 520/430 - but can't edit it
Hi all,
ok so I'm about to update my HTPC to one of these 3d bluray compatable cards.
However, does anyone know if its possible for it force the output to 3d mode, when 3d media is detected, regardless of what is connected to the hdmi port at the time?
As for example, if I was to use a bluray player not connected to a 3d TV, the bluray player would give a message back to the screen to say "sorry but can't play"
Ideally, I want my HTPC to go automatically to 3d mode regardless of what set is plugged in at the time (obviously I understand a non 3d device would likely show nothing)
Reason being, I have a hdmi 1.3 Onkyo 607 receiver.......it can apparantly pass through 3d no problem, but because it is not officially supported, if any handshaking goes on before playing the media it would return a no and so fail....whereas if for example plugged in a Sky 3d channel to the tv first, enabled it, then plugged it via the Onkyo instead, it would continue to play fine
