GT 550 lowering pegs

Hi I have recently bought a lovely low mileage GT 550 .
I find the riding position a bit too high. Does anyone know if its possible to
lower the riding position, lower the pegs etc. Went to a guy today and
he said its not possible as bike is too old (2000) and no kits are made for this.
Any hope? I wish to go to Spain on it next summer and want to get it comfy.

You could look at getting the seat reprofiled which would help a bit.

Many thanks for reply thought of that but would not change height if knees and riding positio .

The Suzuki or Kawasaki? Both those are 70's and 80s bikes.... or is this something else?

Both are also pretty low already and I don't think they have any modification in the peg position, these are pre rearset bikes, as PieEater said with your only real option is so change seat height but that will most likely come at a cost to comfort.
