GT 610 v Onboard Intel Graphics

Would the Palit GeForce GT 610 (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pali...ddr3-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-020-pl.html) be better than onboard graphics (Q965/Q963 Express Chipset) for basic tasks?

I'm looking to fix up an older machine with low profile PCI slots on the cheap.

it will offer you hdmi and dx11 and should perform better, when i had the odd older dx9(maybe 10)chipset from intel or an amd equivalent, a gt 210 & a 5450 was a good improvement and i noticed the difference, also the resolution was able to go higher, my 610 is an Asus, but black heatsink and does well, granted i dont know if it improves over hd4400 as my version of lenovo has display port rather than hdmi, so unable to test, but from previous haswell system, its nice to have a dedicated card to offload the stress and memory, so again the 610 should be a good improvement especially given the age of your system.
