Are all the GT Aggressor frames the same weight just diffrent components making up the price?

I've been looking at building my own bike up but its a bit pricey all at once! Seen a cheap GT Agressor for sub £100 crap components but I can afforde to upgrade over time and still have a bike to ride now.

What are your thoughts?

Cheers
Zaf,

What do you want to use the bike for?
If you can afford to 'upgrade over time' why not save up some more dinero before you buy?

I wouldn't upgrade - it would be like putting Lipstick on a gorilla - it will never be Angelina Jolie or even --insert a celeb chick much uglier here--

I would rather save money every month and put it aside for something decent second hand, then flog the agressor.

Whats wrong with the Aggressor frames I think they look nice :o Are they not the same as the Avalanche and Outpost?

Just found out the frames are 4kg little heavier than what I was expecting! Can you recommend another bike I can pick up cheapish with a lighter frame?

at the risk of sounding snooty, I dont think any £100 bike will makea difference in ride.
the 4kg difference also doesn't sound right to me.

Why not get that bike you can get hold of and give it a comfortable seat, imo that's the biggest thing that will make your journey any easier :)

Got the felt for £149 on well known auction site :)

Only concern is its a 18" frame and i'm 6'2"
