Hi guys,

Getting a PS3 soon with MGS4, looking at a selection of games to get me started and Gran Turismo has a good reputation. I'm a little confused about the two versions, normal and Prologue. Whats the difference? and is it worth the twice the price? I've read Prologue is like a demo? so not actually a full game.

If someone could correct me/clear this up please!

Thanks

Benny C

Prologue is like a stop gap taster for Gran turismo 5, the main difference is gran turismo 5 isnt out yet. Prologue is quite a bit more than a demo though, theres plenty to keep you going for a while.

Ahh I see, £18 might as well not exactly breaking the bank!

So far in my competitor basket I have:

40GB Ps3 (Will upgrade HDD myself)
MGS4
Dualshock Sixaxis 3 Controller
Joytech Double Play and Charge Kit
Official Sony HDMI Cable
Blu-Ray: Casino Royal
Blu-Ray: I am Legend-Special Edition
Blu-Ray: Black Hawk Down
Blu-Ray: Blood Diamond
Blu-Ray: Deja Vu
Blu-Ray: Training Day

Total: £440.91

Hopefully will find a 10% discount code, to bring it down to around £395. Think GTP is out of my budget for now!

Don't worry you aren't missing much, GT5:P gets boring fast.

Save the money for a half decent game like Resistance, or a fantastic game like Uncharted.

Not to throw a spanner in the works mate but in a few weeks the 80GB PS3 is launch with a dualshock 3 for the same price as the 40. Also i wouldnt bother with the play and charge thing as you can use any USB port to charge the controller, perhaps a USB extension for a few £'s (at most) would be an idea if you sit quite a distance away from the PS3. Im not sure how mush the sony HDMI lead is but you can get one for a £5 from supermarkets.

I am aware of this, the only difference other than 40GB is the Dual shock three. And im not too fussed about that, because ill end up buying extra controllers later on. But thanks for the tip on not needing the play and charge kits :) is it just a standard usb connection on the controller then?

It's a Mini-USB to USB cable, you should get one with the console and that can be used on all devices with the same connection, like the PSP and DS3.
