GT Legends race, tonight - 02/02/06 8pm

Hi everyone

I'm going to be running a GT Legends server tonight for a little mini-race, so I thought I would try and get some interest here for a few guys to join in.

The race class is going to be Mustang only, and the track is to be determined, but will likely be a track suited to the 'Stang (I'll take suggestions on this!).

Server has a 1024kbit upload, so should offer plenty of bandwidth for everyone..... the details then....

Look for Samiad Mustang Series in the serverlist around 8pm. Practice will last 30 mins, followed by 30 mins quali, followed by (expected) 20 lap race.

Obviously a bit short notice, but it's being run anyway so I thought some people might like to try it.

good to hear peeps doing 1 car type only races, it makes it much closer. I suggest a slower car tho, maybe the mini or fiat 126, i have only had one fiat race and it was great fun.

might pop along if i feel better (been sick for 2 days).

Cool, join in if you can. The Mustang is a 65 TC class car, so is already in the slowest class. We have run Mini only servers in the past, so it's time for some Stang action.

Lining up on a grid with 8+ Mustangs sounds fantastic!

Sounds good to me and well done for hosting and posting.
I'll dust of my Stang and pop along. I don't think i've ever raced the Stang so it should be a laugh. Personally i prefer the Falcon but Stangs it is.

Mustang in sig but i've never raced mine.

I have taken the Stang out for a run so i am no longer a Stang virgin.

Its slow dont handle and can't brake to save its life.

Feels like a tank though so should be good for plenty of Door banging.

hehe glad im not only one who thinks its a tank the cortina feels like a go kart in comparison

well that was certainly intresting, i too lost my mustang virginity, shame about the intital problems but when it got running again it was good, it was a fun race, spent ages battling with tio italio, just couldnt get past everytime i'd get close i'd make a silly mistake, last lap i went head first into a barrier and busted my left front tire and suspension, oh and got a stop/go at the same time.

the stang is a bit of a tank, but i like its predictability, but it understeers and has poor braking, not bad though.

I was there but got real high pings. I struggled on for a bit but then when he rebooted I got no ping reading at all in lobby and couldn't rejoin.

Then i got lost on the Mother in my 906 and we all know what thats like. :cool:

Yea a few issues that I'm going to be looking at. I plan to tweak the server settings until I have a guaranteed stable server for at least 16 clients, then I'll round everyone up again?

But it won't be until I can guarantee low pings for all.
