Just got Gt legends today at ******** for £5.99 it was a trade in.
I should have bought it when it was first released.
I have both gtr and gtr2 but i think legends is a better game.
Has anyone got the new race game and is it any good.

Yeh I race GTL quite a bit, its great fun, the cars are all thoroughly enjoyable to drive.

My car of choice has to be the GT40 at the moment, and the Big Vette if I'm in a GTC76 race :)
There's a demo out for the Race game, personally I don't like it, but a lot of the people I race with on GTL like it.

btw, you might want to edit out the retailer that you got the game for, it counts as a competitor. Just star it out :)
 
I've had GTL for a long time and still love it.

I got GTR2 recently and it's my game of choice at the moment, the engine sounds are just fantastic and I really enjoy the extra speed the cars have compared to GTL.

Anyway, from that perspective, I've played Race a fair bit and can't recommend it in the slightest. The cars seem fairly slow, the sound is AWFUL and it simply doesn't have the character of the other games. My advice, stick with GTL and GTR2.

Yep, and reasonably easy to find servers without people crashing in to you at each corner. I reckon the fact that it requires a bit of effort to drive well (not an arcade racer) means that people drive a bit more sensibly online.

Flatout 2 for the carnage!

Yeh you can race online, nice and easy to set up too.
Currently its a bit quiet with most people racing on GTR2 public servers. But there are various leagues about in which you can race.
I have taken part in a few Racing 24-7 leagues and raced in a No-Grip new years day event, 10 laps of Lemans in GT40s, that was amazing fun until my pc crashed.

Contrary to what chrismox the racing standard on public servers, especially in the day time is poor, loads of people unable of controlling there cars, weaving across the road and crashing every other corner. Then on top of that you get wreckers deliberately causing accidents. Sometimes you'll get lucky, but if you want consistent safe racing I'd join a league.
 
It goes up and down. When I first came home for xmas (back from uni) it was great, competitive and good fun.
Yet since Xmas its been rubbish, maybe loads of immature kids got the game thinking it would be comparable to burnout or something....
 
I had gtl a while back and enjoyed it but got miffed at the public race's so I ended up going for rfactor and joining a league and have never looked back.
 
i have gtr1 and 2 and gtl. They are all excellent games. The only bad thing about it is the wreckers and lack of patches. The developers give you one patch and thats it they're job is done :o
