The gt5 developer is saying GT5 could come for the pc.

Kazunori Yamauchi has said in an Austrian interview that Gran Turismo may come to PC as a necessity for a Chinese launch.

“It is very, very improbable that GT will comes out on another console,” he said, speaking to derStandard.at. “But perhaps it comes to the PC. Particularly [so we could spread the game in] the Chinese market.”

Changes to the once untouchable series seem to be coming thick and fast at the moment, what with the inclusion of for-all online play and the promise of damage for Prologue later this year.

It's sort of relevant as GT5 is a console game :p With it being a hugely expensive game to make, you cannot realistically rule out the possibility of exploring other avenues of getting the funds back. In layman's terms, the prospect of a PC version is there, as the installed base for the PS3 is still relatively small.

Sony has released several games on the PC. Including one small game called Everquest.

S.O.E have released games on the PC like everquest, Im pretty sure Sony Worldwide studios have not. Only this year has SOE actually joined up with SWS to become part of it it was always an indepentant arm of Sony game studios. As for numbers of PS3 sales, well its now several million higher than when GT3 came out and as its funded by Sony i wouldnt think they NEED to do it, but they may do to increase profits
