I was always under the impression that there was no damage model in GT games due to manufacturers threatening to pull out if their cars were damaged?

Don't know where I got this info from though, but I know a lot of mates who share the same view - maybe it's an urban myth?

How many of you have tried Stuntcarracer :D Thats a proper arcade sim
If Geoff Crammond ever makes another game that'll be the one to watch. He had a physics degree before ever learning to program :)

One of my all time favourite games :) Me and a mate used to link our ST's together and race each other :D

Geoff Crammond also did a couple of PC F1 Sims as well I seem to remember which had very realistic modelling/crashes etc (for the time released)

urban myth afaik , manufacturers cars get damaged in all sorts of games,

most i know about it a guy from the polyphony team saying they hadnt included damage before as it was too difficult too do right ,

they reckoned if they arent going to do it and make it realistic for each individual car then there was no point doing it at all , dont have the source at moment but it was linked to on here not long ago. basically he tried to say theyre perfectionists  :p
