GT630M video outputs.

Hi, apologies if this is in the wrong section, could a mod move it if it is please.

I have a laptop with a GT630M, and currently have a 24" monitor attached via the VGA port. I would like another 24" monitor to sit at the other side of the laptop giving me 3 screens (the laptop is 17.3" and would be in the middle of the two 24"). I'm currently using the VGA output to run the single monitor, and there's an HDMI port left on the laptop. Before I commit to buying the third monitor, could someone more knowledgeable confirm that the GT630M will run both 24" screens, one through VGA and one through HDMI, as well as the laptop screen itself.

Bit of a noob question, as it makes sense that it can given there's two video outputs, but I want to make 100% sure that it will work before I buy.

If your laptop uses optimus then the display outputs are dictated by the IGP.

The laptop is a Dell Inspiron R17-5720 with the i7-3632QM processor, Intel HD4000 and the GT630M. If that helps any.

Then without spending money on wireless HDMI you get any two displays at once.

Internal + external or 2x external.
