Hi,
I am looking at 2 laptops at the moment for gaming and for vms, as such require 32gb ram.
I was looking at 2 laptops, the GT72 and G751. I am leaning more towards the G751 because of the screen and the ssd pcie speeds. Plus I would rather have 1 drive than 3+ in raid0 to achieve similar speeds.
Now I havent discounted the GT72 yet, so any convincing arguements are welcome.
However, I have read about reported issues on the Asus model with bad ips glow or bleed, usb 3, and some touchpads lifting. I know the audio issue was resolved
My query now is really what are the warranties. They are not particularly clear on the site.
EG:
Asus G751 24GB model
This states Asus 2 year on-site warranty at the bottom of the page.
Now the 32gb model states no such thing:
Asus G751 32GB model
Are they both the same warranty?
If this is true, then what does this include? Is it similar to the AW service with in house repairs? Or is it simply another way of saying collect and return to base?
How does asus warranty compare to the gt72 warranty?
GT72 states collect and return, is this carried out OCUK then they send it off to the manufacturer or do you contact the manufacturer direct?
Are there any issues with HDMI video\audio via an amp? DTS HD 5.1 etc
Thanks for any responses, just want to be sure incase I get one with a fault, that I know what to expect. After all these arent cheap
