GTA 4 mods/gfx mods for my system

Just got gta4 in steeam sale for £7. complete edi.

I have 7950 2bg, 8gb ram 3.5ghz i5 cpu.

WHat are good mods that will make the game look better but not slow down my fps much.

At highest settings already it says I am using 1.2 out of 1.9 gb of memory so i still have a lot to play with right?

SOme of these realism mods look like they would only run on supercomps though.

Any other good mods like for real cars and stuff worth getting?

I have a similar system, I used the graphics mod but it bogged down by game dramatically. I then installed some car mods and eventually the game just kept crashing. I want mods to get me in the mood for gta v!!!

yeh mate I think it might not even be worth the hassle eh?

If it bogs down and crashes and stuff itll be more stress than its worth.

As i played it on ps3 years ago I think just fully maxed out on PC should still be decent enough I guess? And no stress

The modding process for GTAIV is one of the most long and tiresome ones. Without mod's the PC version is already very unstable.

If you do go ahead and mod make sure to make a backup, as one wrong move will most probably make your game crash.
