GTA 4 trophies not registering

Just updated GTA 4 and started a new game. Done a fair few missions yet havent got the trophy for completing the first mission? Any ideas why this is, or is the "first mission" actually more like 10?

Does it say trophies are available in the left hand corner when you load up a game?

No cheats no, just a brand new game. If I goto the XMB in game and select GTA, the trophies are all there. What do you mean nanoman? Whereabouts should it say they are available?

I deleted all of my original savegames before starting a new game as in Uncharted you needed to do the same before trophies would register.

They're all deleted I believe, though I will check again cheers

When your load your game, when you first see Niko it should say "Load successfull" in the top left hand corner, and under that it says "Trophies are available".

Oh right, no it doesnt say that

Looks like I'll have to try installing it again, bummer!
