GTA 6 leaks

Of course not. Discs mean second hand sales. Publishers have hated physical media for years. This is possibly the first game big enough to not lose sales over it, despite some saying they won't buy if there's no disc copy available.

I really wish they would show some gameplay on both the big players, I'm thinking of picking up a Series X but don't really like the idea of it been "Limited" to 30fps at 4K for GTA6 which i suspect Rockstar would actually INTENTIONALLY do because they obviously have some agreement/deal with Sony to push PS5 Pro sales for what they say is the best experience 60fps at 4k.

But imo the PS5 Pro is now extremely overpriced which puts me off.

I have the Pro but I have a sneaking suspicion that R* will still limit it to 30fps, just with extra graphical bells and whistles. I hope I'm wrong and there is, at a bare minimum, a 40fps mode. Otherwise I'll pass on it completely. My eye sight just can't do 30 any more.

R* have form for purposely limiting there games, under the guise of artistic license, to then charge their customers another round of coins for a minimum effort native port some years down the line.

Sony really should mandate that all new games have an uncapped mode to stop this double dipping.

Remember when all gta games were 30fps and nobody gave a ****.

Times have changed, we shouldn't be accepting anything less than 60,jeez even 120 should be the norm now.
Especially for the price of these consoles.

If you want 120fps you'd be paying £2000+.

Just wait for the pc release. Consoles are mad cheap really.

The PS5 CPU is effectively a Ryzen 3600. It is weak asf. 60fps in open world games is a struggle. 120hz is not happening any time soon.
Is that really true? There are plenty of cracking open-world games out there that run perfectly fine at 60fps. I'm not necessarily expecting 60 for GTA, but I am hopeful for a VRR option of at least 40fps. The technology and displays that offer 120Hz and VRR are quite mature and widespread now; combined with PSSR2 and a non-raytracing option, is it really too much to ask for something over 30fps?

And? If you're happy to accept that level of performance, fair play to you. I alas cannot; the stuttering /ghosting effect trips my eyes out no end and invokes headaches / migraines.

Yes, according to Digital Foundry at least. They have used it as the closest PS5 reference for years. The PS5 has two more co (8 vs 6) but the 3600 clocks higher.

I agree with you regarding a 40fps mode at the very least. It would make a huge difference and definitely be my preferred choice compared to 30 fps.
