GTA 6 leaks

I resigned myself to it being 30fps a long time ago. But 30 really is terrible, isn't it? I was forced to play FF7 Rebirth at 30 because of their upscaling issues in performance mode and it was a truly dreadful experience. Although it did get better as I got used it.

I'm sure GTA VI will be the same. Awful at first but eventually your eyes will adapt to it. By which time you will have finished the game, no doubt.

The characters and story in GTA5 are so rubbish, I hope they are better in 6. I tried playing this again recently as got the free PS5 update and it's painful.

I won't be preordering a digital copy as preordering a digital copy which can't sell out is still the stupidest thing these companies have managed to convince people to do...

I'll be waiting for reviews and disc version so I can flog o

the bcc did a piece on this. i had to laugh they briefly mentioned is it about money and the fact you can't sell it on. of course it bloody is. they are laughing all the way to the bank. you fork out £70 play the game and have nothing at the end of it. you can't sell it , you cant transfer it. it's a joke. i have some digital only games but i make sure i pay as little as possible for them as i know they are worth nothing once i complete them. everything else i buy the disc/cartridge.

A PS5 pro is about £800 in the shops in Thailand now, as the stock is so scarce, goes up every time more come.

Really hope they release some proper performance stats soon, so I can decide if I should try and get one as a celebration for finding a job here :D

Lowering resolution doesn’t do much to help when CPU-bound in an open world game. I think it’ll be 30fps, including on PS5 Pro. Best case is a 40fps mode.
Division 2 ran at 60fps 4k on a normal PS5. Obviously the map will be more busy in gta, but even in missions the frame rate held up

Division 2 was also a PS4 game.

Edit: It is funny to hear people calling the current console CPUs terrible, when you consider what was possible on the genuine god awful Jaguar cores in the last generation of consoles.
Feel like optimisation on consoles is a thing of the past.

60fps games were rare last gen too, often because jaguar was a POS

Where as, for their time, the 3 core CPu in the Xbox 360 and 8 core CPu in the PS3 were very powerful, so powerful people were paying $700 for a PS3 just to run Linux servers on it because of its CPU

For some quick reference, at the time the Xbox 360 and PS3 released, their CPUs were more powerful than the top Intel Core gaming CPUs in gaming PCs and Intel gaming systems typically had 2 core CPUs and here came the Xbox with 3 cores and PS3 with 8

Really surprised that's it's not actually releasing alongside a PS6 to be honest.
I really don't want it on my ancient PS5, probably be playing this on the PS7 as well.

I feel seen :D Put it this way, what was shown in the trailers does not indicate a 60fps experience on a 3600- level CPU. Very happy to be proved wrong though! And I hope I am.

It’s nothing against people saying this, and more against the lack of work that seems to go in to making these games run well these days. I really feel like the Pro model of the PS5 out too soon even. The CPU is weaker compared to what’s on the market today, but it’s not awful!

The Pro should really of had a slightly better CPU, instead of the few extra 100Mhz in burst mode, to support PSSR presumably. But eh, it is what it is and it's still the most powerful console for the foreseeable. Completely agree with the optimisation point; if R* et al can't or won't optimise on these consoles, what the hell is the point of having a fixed platform.
