gta iv heli controls

hey guys!

just got to a heli mission on the Ballard of gay tony and the things seem quite awkward to fly on the default control set up!

any preferred control mapping for helicopters, or should i get a 360 pad?

I wouldn't buy pad for one mission of a game hehe. Just set them up how you think would feel right and go from there. I had the same problem on Vice City where you flew an RC copter, long time ago though.

I found GTAIV played better on a gamepad as a whole. Tried playing it with keyboard and mouse, but it didn't feel right.

It's very good with a pad, still went back to KB&M for some sniping

keyboard and mouse is where it's at. :cool:

and flying the heli with the default controls is a doddle. just take a minute or 2 to practice. i'm crap at games and even i find it easy.

Heli is easy with default settings, it's best to turn primarily with the mouse and only make small movements or you will quickly lose control. Using A and D to turn, remember you have to correct it back, it only takes one press of A for example to bank left, then press d again to bring it straight.
