GTA IV Installation problem...

The problem i'm having is when installing the game. I have installed rockstar social club and when I go to install the actual game i recieve the error message;
"Your system is incompatible with %p Please visit the link below etc. The link does not work it just makes the logo go black.. =/

Running vista 64 Q6600 8800gt 2gb ram.

Any help would be appreciated!

I bought this 2 days ago, spent almost an hour installing due to the rockstar social club BS and games for windows live stuff, by the time I got around to playing it and seeing it stutter like mad despite not having the settings all that high it was uninstalled again the same day. What an anti-climax!

It'll throw up that error if you haven't got Vista service pack 1 installed.

If you've got it installed, then try installing the game in Windows XP (sp2) compatability mode.

To do so you'll need to right click the setup.exe on your GTA disc and click on the compatibility tab.

Tick the field where it says "run this program in compatibility mode" and choose "windows xp (sp2)".

Click apply before closing. GL.
