It looks like we're getting GTA 4 on PC.

The long-rumored PC version of Rockstar's open-world crime life simulator Grand Theft Auto IV will hit North America on November 18 and in Europe on November 21, the developer announced today.

The PC edition is said to pack "newly expanded multiplayer just for the PC," with Rockstar remaining mum on the specifics. Released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this past April, the Rockstar North-developed title went on to sell over six million units in its first week at retailers.

"We are very excited to be releasing the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV," said Rockstar founder Sam House. "The whole team is dedicated to bringing an amazing gaming experience to the PC. The game looks and plays beautifully on PC and we can't wait for people to play it."

Word of a relatively quick PC release fits with the company's previous work, as the past three GTA titles--Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City and San Andreas--all arrived on PC within nine months of their console debut.

Nice news (if old anyway) i just dont think i could play it without a pad. I used to love playing GTA on my friends PS2 but when i got it on PC is was dissapointed a lot and didnt even get passed maybe the 10th mission because i was becoming un-interested.

Will always be a console game for me.

Couldn’t disagree with you more, the financial home of gta is on the consoles but the spiritual home of gta will always be the pc.

In any sort of shoot out the mouse and keyboard beat the controller hands down there is nothing worse than trying to target a cop but you lock on a old granny with shopping bags, on top of the controls you have the better gfx.

Well perhaps that was because you already played the missions on the PS2 previously? Playing them again would be boring. ;)

I never played San Andreas until i got it on the PC but had completed GTA III and got quite far in vice city on the PS2. I will buy a 360 controller receiver so i can finally play it and like it though.

Graphics really dont bother me. The only pc version of GTA i enjoyed were GTA 1 & 2.

sad that developer prefer taking their title(that always been pc) to the console first and to pc months later.

Rockstar has always done this (except for GTA 1 and 2), but more and more developers are copying this model now which makes me sad.

I just finished GTA Vice City for the 2nd time the other day, I love that game so much it my fave GTA game so far, i can't stand san andreas :( I still haven't played GTA IV so i can't comment on that yet.

i think it is fantastic news that this is finally being released for the PC, especially since i prefer playing the games with keyboard and mouse :D

Main thing i prefere about GTA on PC is the cool mods you can get for it :D

Having said that i played it on the 360 so.... might get it again for the PC i guess only time will tell
