GTA IV random pauses?

Hey guys, got this game yesterday and the game pauses every 2-3 seconds...so if im running and it will just pause and then resume... happens to vehicles anything yet the audio is all fine?

Has anyone experienced this? Surely its not meant to be like this? :confused:

Which version - PS3 or 360?

Not experienced that on my 360!

edit: this might be to do with PSN network. Mine logs in auto i will try and disconnect it tonight.

erm... check the Take 2 website. Bioshock used to do this on 360 sometimes.

Yup I had this on the PS3 version, would pause for a couple of seconds.

Seems the 65nm models aren't affected.

I had this issue, your game is broken. I took the disc out, licked it, then reinserted it and the pauses had gone. True story.

No such pauses on my PS3 version, haven't seen one pause at all, let alone every few seconds (I've always been signed into PSN when I've played it btw). Get the disc swapped maybe - I'm guessing your other games are working ok?

quick update guys I stopped my PSN from auto login and now it plays smoothly :eek:

only seems an issue when its logged in which is a bit crap
