GTA IV (steam)

I have got GTA IV on steam and it just won't work.

I click play and it comes up with this rockstar social thing, i made an account and sign into that but the nothing happens, no popups and i look in the process list and nothing happens... Whats wrong?

try going directly into the steamapps/gta folder on the hard drive and sending the gams shortcut to desktop and try running it that way.
