Hi everyone, one of the main things keeping me play GTA was the mod that would make the game time the same as the clock on my pc. I dont mind playing it when the game is nightime, but it looks so much better in the day.

anyway the last one i know of works for ony the 1.0.2.0 patch and before, im using 1.0.4.0 patch and would like to know if anyone knows a mod the same or similiar for this patch?

here is System Time Sync v1.2 for information: http://www.gtagaming.com/downloads/gta-iv/script-mods/2067

Thanks!

System time sync is a great mod by the sounds of it.

I assume you can play at that time of day meaning certain missions will only be available at that time of day making the game play last longer as you can't just do a whole day in one session?

yes, so say you had to meet someone at 7pm, if you were playing at say 5pm it would take 2 human hours to wait :D

i just dont like the street lighting in the dark, looks rubbish (i play on highest shadows/textures). with the time sync mod, time never changes as quick as normal, good for the realism.

unfortuantely i cant find a mod like this for the 1.4 patch :(

I find the GFX day and night beautiful but I do have most settings ramped up to max though except shadows which makes only a tiny visual difference but affects fps majorly.

I get 30fps average at 1920 but that mod sounds amazing, I need it for a.4 patch!

Thanks!

Will try when I get home because when I changed to Windows 7 from Vista I lost all my saves, apparently the game uses dynamic binding of sorts to save your saves so even copying old ones don't work :(

They do, but you have to use some mods :) But I think when you use the mods you are unable to play online.

I've just downloaded a 100% save as I have already completed GTA IV on the 360 and didn't fancy going though it again. Worked fine!

I was able to backup my game and put it back on after a reformat. It involved copying files for the game and for that xlive crap. Do some googleing and I'm sure you'll find the instructions I followed.

It seems you need to backup some data files within the /appdata/ folder as the game saves there and not the GTA4 folder in your Documents folder....which was what I backed up (and failed to restore due to the former infos!).

Why could they not just have the saves plant themselves in one primary location :/

Edit*

Thanks! will DL the 100%, I was around 75% complete anyway but the 100% will allow me to just roam around and have fun :p

Roll on GTA5 !

i cant get that trainer to work on mine, do you use alice or something because when i moved alice and trainer into the gta folder the game crashes before even running.

I had the crash too last night, in the end I just gave up and uninstalled GTA4, way too much hassle so I hope they make GTA5 a bit better and minus the social club app which takes ages to load.

yeah the social club is pants, especially if you dont play online like me, i do gumball races when my mates are round, and killing frenzies much more more :D
