GTA: SA Save Games

well when i reinstalled the folder was still there with all the stuff in it. when i start sa (just reinstalled it) it hasnt remembered any config settings. when i got to load game, it has the correct save game name but just loads the first level any idea why?
 
I f you deleted that folder in my documents then that'll be why the game didn't remember any of your configuration. That's the folder it gets saved to.
 
right i copied it to my desktop. to start off with i left the original folder there but i had no config's saved or savegames. so i tried replacing it with the 1 i copied (thought was the same thing) but it made no difference
 
I think i worked out why it isnt working. the version i was using before i think was 1.0 and the 1 i just installed is version 2.0 and the save games arnt compatible. guess il have 2 do it again :(

Theres a download that converts it to V 1.x if you have 2, lemme find it. Not sure whether it would definatly work though.
