I load GTA up and after 5-10 minutes, it crashes. Happens every time without fail. The game ran fine for months and months and it's been doing this for the past month. Tried reinstalling it but to no avail. The only other thing I tried was lowering the settings which allowed it to run for maybe slightly longer.

Anyone got any ideas?

try the verify command, I used to get the same problem till I checked the files properly

D:\GTAV\GTAVLauncher.exe -verify

for example, obviously u will probably have it in a different location on your hd, just make sure u put the space in before the -

If it finds faulty files it will download replacements.

Could be temperature related if it crashes relatively quickly. Download and install Afterburner and check them. It may also be worth removing any OC you have to test as well.

You dont say what it crashes with, but I had a hell of a problem getting GTA V stable and had to switch off Crossfire and underclock the 1 remaining card in order to get it to run without the DX errors regularly cropping up. I dont have this issue with any other game.
