Sup all,

My partner and I are trying to play GTA V online, I'm rank 8 and she's rank 4. But it seems it's nigh on impossible to stick together between silly missions and races and stuff.

We tried doing a closed session, worked well until we did one quick job, both selected freemode and then we were separated.

Why is this game so hard to play with mates? It's super complicated!

Are we missing something simple? Is there a party mode so it keeps you guys together? Are there any proper missions to do? When do we get heists etc?

Use invite only so you are in the same session.
Are you playing as a duo or are you looking to play with others? Also what are you looking to play?

If you go the the menu (esc) then online, jobs, all the jobs are there that you have played and lots of others, races etc. If you choose from there and only play as a two you will be dropped back into your session pretty much everytime should you want to. Otherwis one of you choose who will be host and just reignite to session should you get separated...

I cant deal with gta online at all due to the poor interface, matchmaking and loading times. Shame because it looks to be fun.

I don't have any issues with online nor have had for months and months. I do Races and heists and it has only improved over time. However being in the same session helps a great deal.

the online is poor, the interface is clunky, loading times are abysmal and the missions are repetitive.

However, it's fun when you play with friends. Invite through the rockstar menu (which then gets put into your phone) and you should be in the same session. Configure your session to how you want it, and you should stick to it. If any of you drops you can join game by going through the main menu.

Load times in Online much better if its an invite only session, or crew session. Both options available if you are in the single player version of the game (in online menu).

I love GTA Online tbh, But I have one major problem and that's de-syncing.. I can drive around and my friend loses track off me because on his screen I'm not moving but in 15 seconds I am like 500m away.

It was garbage from day 1, and still is now. Tried it last night for the first time in many months as I wanted to try out the new motorbikes - Instead I spent a good 30mins bouncing from one server instance to another because the ones I was trying to connect to were 'full'. Every 'server bounce' results in a good couple of minutes just to connect. Rockstar just can't do MP.

WAT YEAR IS IT?!

It is fun when you get a session going with mates, but when it all falls apart, it really does fall apart.
