GTA V social slub memory leak

Has anyone suffered from a memory leak while trying to download GTA via the social club? I start off at 26% useage and it steadily rises to 98% and then I have to restart.

I had left it going overnight to download but because it drinks memory up it basically caused my PC to flake out before it even got anywhere. Hoping someone has some ideas as its getting on my nerves now.

I did find some threads online with people suffering the same but I from what I can see there is currently no solution. I've tried to close all other tasks just in case there is a conflict

I've got 8gig memory for info.

I've noticed my memory usage rising whilst playing GTA V. It went from 6000 odd upto nearly 8000. I don't know if that is normal?

Mine starts at about 3.4gb used and goes upto 7gb over the period of playing.

Mine will literally go to 98% usage if my memory. Just from the launcher trying to download the game. The game isn't even running yet! Seems Pretty stupid to me

+1 and vram goes from 2.2 to 3.3gb after 10-20mins.

Seems lots of people at having the issue, hopefully get a fix soon.

Defo a memory leak

I have Had it since day one.

starts at 5.5 and get's up to 7.5+

if you have a Samsung SSD make sure its in performance mode, any other mode it screws up vertual memory settings

I noticed the same thing the other day. I was trying to reinstall GTA5 and left it downloading while playing another game, after a while everything just slowed to a complete crawl and I had to reboot to be able to use the machine! I ended up having to download it a few chunks at a time, closing the downloader and reopening it to resume.
