GTA4 Delayed until Q2 2008!

Was looking forward to getting this before xmas but at least theres a lot of other games due out around the original date to keep most of us occupied. Fingers crossed not to many other games get put back, and gives me more time on Haze, Assains Creed, Kill zone etc. At least it will be worth the wait knowing Rockstar they wouldn't of made this decision lightly
 
They should never tease us by setting a release date to begin with. I never believe release dates.. Its false hope. I remember when Half Life 2 got delayed... Now that was a long wait!!!

I blame xbox for this delay... DVD9 just isn't going to cut it for games like GTA4 IMO... this is why blu-ray will be worth it in 3-4 years when games really need that extra space.
 
There's a lot of good games coming out which im really looking forward to, but GTAIV was my most anticipated... oh well, guess I will be able to spend more time on the other games then as they wouldnt have got much of a look in until I completed GTAIV.

In 3-4 years the Xbox 360 will be at the end of its life cycle.

It won't be September 2008 which is good, but damn, a delay is disappointing! :(
 
Well in the last interview I seen with Rockstar they said the PS3 version was a few weeks behind the 360 version.

So many multi format titles end up getting delayed on the PS3 and no doubt that is the case here but now 360 gamers are suffering for it too.

Even the new Medal of Honor game out this month slipped back on the PS3 but they are still releasing it on the 360; shame they couldn't do the same with GTA IV.

I just hope Assassins Creed and Call of Duty 4 ship on the 360 regardless of any delays to their PS3 versions...
 
I am actually not bothered, which is unusual for a GTA game! I guess it's because there are so many killer titles coming out for the 360 already. As for the PS3 owners who have it as their sole console, I do feel for them.

They made no indication as to what the cause of the delay was.

Why? I'm more than happy with the upcoming game selection. It's not like most people spend 24 hrs a day gaming anyway, so there's only so much you can actually get through!

I'd definitely say, right now, it's the best I can ever remember it being for being on deadlines, however 3-4 years ago it was definitely at its worst.

True. Haze looks awesome too, hopefully I can give it a right good thrashing now.

I was comparing the PS3's lineup to the 360's though.

They said at E3 that the ps3 version of the game was running about 3 weeks behind the 360 version, I seriously doubt the 360 caused the delay, infact THIS article seems to think it was the PS3 which was causing rockstar problems.
