GTA4 less blury on firmware 2.35 ?

I could give it a try on my old samsung drive xbox. See if it's any better, doesnt help that it's a launch day console so the laser will be worn a little bit.

I only get pop up on the 360 version just after my save has loaded and i run into the hall, i usually hit a few invisable boxes lol

I'm using a sammy drive but at 8x

When I had it on PS3 then 360, I didn't notice a dramatic difference in pop-in.

Delete your 360 HDD cache, then play the game again, MY GOD it takes about 30 mins for it to re-cache and I had vanishing roads/buildings constantly.

Here are the photos I took when the firmware came out. I set my camera up on the tripod and with same settings, although readjusted the Whit Bal for each.

Pre-firmware 2.35
With firmware 2.35

There are differences - especially in colour, although to be honest they are more likely to be due to the camera.

Doesnt re-caching usually take a couple seconds or have i read your sentence wrong?

I thought that but for some reason buildings and roads were constantly vanishing, it took about 30 mins for it to get back to normal!

is this when you're driving along and suddenly crash then a skip will load up when you walk back to where the car was....?

because i'm getting this more and more. any fixes ?

It's not greatly blury most of the time but the firmware didn't make any difference.

I'm starting to hate how badly this game needs antialiasing though!

I get quite a lot of pop in on 360 with a falcon - crashed into a lamp post the other day and it appeared 2 seconds later...

blurriness is fine for me on 360 tho on both my old 19" monitor and my new bravia
